Leinster clash is a Six shooter for Glasgow ace Rob Rob

ROB HARLEY believes Glasgow's PRO12 trip to Leinster tomorrow night will be every bit as intense as a Six Nations international.

The Glasgow star started in Dark Blue against Italy, Ireland and Wales before being rested against France in the Championship finale last Saturday night.

With Gregor Townsend's men opening the final five- game furlong of the regulation PRO12 campaign at the Royal Dublin Showgrounds against the European champions, Harley is braced for a match-up of Test proportions.

The 22-year-old said: "I don't believe there will be any drop off from the intensity and physicality of a Six Nations fixture. If you look at both sides there are so many internationals in them that the quality will be right up there.

"Also when you look at Glasgow's results during the Six Nations period, then we have picked up maximum points for the first time ever and that underlines just how good the depth in our squad is now.

"But when we go to Leinster we always know that we will face the biggest challenge out there in European rugby and this will be no different. We are sitting top and Leinster are third, just two points behind us and Ulster.

"They will be determined to get back in the top two so they can earn a home semi-final play-off slot. This is their home game and so it is the perfect opportunity for them to get one of those places. We know just how fired up they will be tomorrow night."

Harley's huge workrate and total commitment has now cemented his place in the Scotland squad.

He admits lessons learned from the Six Nations will now stand him in good stead for the PRO12 finale.

Harley said: "I think the biggest learning point for me was when I came up against Sam Warburton in the Scotland game with Wales. His speed at getting to the ball on the deck, the power of his hits and his ability to clear space rammed it home to me what is required at the top Test level.

"So my intention is to use that level of performance as my benchmark for Glasgow over the next five games and hopefully beyond.

"There is no doubt that I have come back from the Six Nations with my appetite for the game enhanced and a determination to bring to bear what I have learned from my game time in it."

Warriors have been rocked by the news that Chris Cusiter is likely to require further shoulder surgery and is now out for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, loosehead prop Ofa Fainga'anuku will leave Glasgow at the end of the season when his short-term deal expires. He is set to join English Premiership side Worcester Warriors on a two-year deal.
