NIKO MATAWALU is relishing his run on the Glasgow left wing.

The Fijian trickster scored a superb try in last weekend's vital victory over the Scarlets that made it three touchdowns in a row for Warriors, and he claims his best is yet to come.

As Niko looked forward to this evening's 7.35pm kick-off against Ospreys at Scotstoun the 25-year-old made it plain he is determined to put on another virtuoso performance.

Matawalu said: "I am really enjoying playing on the wing. For me it does not matter whether it is the wing, scrum-half or full-back, what matters is that I am playing.

"It is also important to get a few games in the same position and I have now scored tries in my last three games. This will now be my third in the wing position, so that is very pleasing.

"But what is most important is how the team do and this is a huge game for us and for what we hope to achieve this season."

Niko continued: "Although we have this game and four others from our last seven at home, that will be no good if we do not win them. So we must dig very deep tonight and make sure that we leave nothing out."

Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend has made three changes to the side that beat Scarlets 14-6 at Scotstoun last Saturday.

Finn Russell comes in at inside centre with Alex Dunbar moving outside in place of Richie Vernon, who is among the replacements.

Pat MacArthur comes in for Dougie Hall at hooker and Leone Nakarawa replaces the injured Tim Swinson in the second row to partner Jonny Gray.

Glasgow welcome back Scotland international Ryan Wilson, who is on the bench, while Sean Maitland continues his comeback from injury as a replacement.

Toony was in no mood to play down tonight's tussle. He said: "This is our biggest game of the season so far with valuable league points up for grabs.

"It was an important win for us last weekend because Scarlets were one place below us in the league and now we play the team that are one place above us, so this is a crucial game.

"Ospreys are a very physical side with a number of good playmakers in their backs so we'll have to be at our best defensively. Like any game against a top side, we'll have to seize any opportunity that comes our way.

"We are well aware of the huge challenge we face. We're looking forward to playing in front of a big crowd at Scotstoun and the Glasgow support will have a key role to play."
