Scotland full-back Stuart Hogg will face a disciplinary hearing in London on Wednesday.

Hogg was sent off for a late challenge on Wales fly-half Dan Biggar during Saturday's RBS 6 Nations clash in Cardiff.

Referee Jerome Garces initially sin-binned Hogg, but changed his decision to a red card after viewing the incident on the Millennium Stadium big screens.

It meant that Scotland played almost an hour of the game with 14 men, and they subsided to a record 51-3 defeat against Wales as the home side ran in seven tries.

"The disciplinary hearing for Stuart Hogg, the Scotland full-back, who was dismissed with a red card during the RBS 6 Nations match between Wales and Scotland on Saturday, will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in London," Six Nations organisers said.

Hogg, 21, became only the third Scotland player to be sent off in a Test match, following Nathan Hines (2002) and Scott Murray (2006).
