ALEX ALLAN can't wait for Glasgow Warriors to dazzle under the lights against Connacht tomorrow night.

The prop, who joined the Scotstoun side from rivals Edinburgh in the summer, is loving life in the west after a winning start to the Guinness Pro12 campaign in black and blue.

Gregor Townsend's men have won three from three so far, with the last two triumphs coming away in Wales - a 12-33 victory over Cardiff Blues before a 13-33 success at Newport Gwent Dragons on Saturday.

However, all that time living the high life in the valleys has the Scottish international yearning for some Scotstoun home comforts.

And with third-placed Connacht rocking up into Glasgow tomorrow, Allan is eager for the chance to continue the Warriors' winning run in front of another bumper home crowd.

"I can't wait to be back playing here, especially on a Friday night," admitted the 22-year-old.

"Being new I've only had a couple of games here but I love playing at Scotstoun, it's a great place to play.

"It will also be nice to have a weekend to do things, maybe catch up on a bit of sleep.

"Down in Wales we've been travelling a lot so it will be good to have some downtime.

"Connacht are enjoying a solid run of form.

"We are starting our research on them and they look a good team.

"They have a good set-piece and they seem to be good, solid runners.

"They have a few fancy little plays which we have been watching out for, so it will be a good test for us."

While the Irish will pose a threat to Warriors' winning streak, there is more than enough confidence and ability in the Glasgow camp to ensure it won't all come to a shuddering halt tomorrow night.

Despite being a man down for almost the whole of the second half at Newport, due to Tyrone Holmes being sent off, the Scots still went on to score a further three tries in the match - securing an extra bonus point in the process.

"It was great under the circumstances," admitted Allan to SportTimes.

"When we went a man down we reacted well and the word throughout the team was that we were going to pull together. To get a bonus point was just fantastic.

"It's a very tight group here. We all pull together and are willing to work really hard for each other. There's a lot of activities off the park and it's a great group. Everyone seems to be enjoying it. I certainly am.

"It does help when you're winning but we're all happy to play for each other. That's what Glasgow is all about."
