GREGOR Townsend is confident his Glasgow Warriors will put on a show- stopping performance tomorrow to get back to winning ways in style.

Newport Gwent Dragons come to Scotstoun on Guinness Pro12 duty just over a week after a depleted squad went down 19-9 at Scarlets.

Townsend is keen to get things right this weekend before his team turn their attention to European Champions Cup duty the following week.

And now the Scotland contingent are back from international duty, including Stuart Hogg who has just penned a new two-year deal, the Warriors head coach is keen to push on and regain his side's upward trajectory.

He said: "We were disappointed with the performance and result down at the Scarlets last weekend and we are determined to deliver a much better performance on Sunday.

"The Dragons beat us home and away in the league last season and we will face a tough contest this weekend.

"It's great to be back home as we enter a really crucial part of the season. Sunday's game will be the start of a run of five Guinness Pro12 games to be played either at Scotstoun or across in Edinburgh at BT Murrayfield.

"The players get a huge boost playing in front of our own supporters and we're looking forward to the game this weekend."

After also penning a new two-year contract with Warriors this week, winger Lee Jones has been named in the starting line-up.

Sean Lamont, Duncan Weir, Ryan Grant, Fraser Brown, Tim Swinson, Gordon Reid and Henry Pyrgos are all included after featuring for Scotland in the recent viagogo Autumn Tests.

Jones starts on the right wing, with the returning Canadian international DTH van der Merwe on the left side. Peter Murchie continues at full-back, with Lamont at outside centre and Peter Horne in the No.12 shirt. Duncan Weir and Niko Matawalu form the half-back partnership.

In the forwards Grant and Brown return at loose-head and hooker, with Jon Welsh making his first start of the season at tight-head, after coming off the bench against the Scarlets last weekend.

Swinson is back in the second-row and partners captain Al Kellock, while Leone Nakarawa returns at blind-side flanker, with Chris Fusaro operating at open-side and Ryan Wilson starting at No.8.
