GLASGOW captain Al Kellock believes Scotland are benefitting from Warriors' stunning start to their campaign.

Ten of the 15 who started the 41-31 Autumn Test victory against Argentina last week ply their trade at Scotstoun.

Four of the five Scottish try scorers are Warriors - Jonny Gray, Sean Maitland, Stuart Hogg and Tommy Seymour. The other came from Jonny's older brother and ex-Glasgow ace Richie.

It was a dominant performance and Scotland cap Kellock, whose last game for his country was against Japan a year ago, thinks the rapid rise of Gregor Townsend's men that has seen them win both European Champions Cup ties and six out of seven Guiness PRO12 contests has boosted the national side.

"There were 10 of our guys in the starting line-up, although I think there were actually 11 as if you ask Richie Gray he will always be a Warrior at heart!" he said.

"We've had a strong start to the season and it's good for Scotland when there are players going up from club rugby in good form."

He pointed out Edinburgh have also had a 25-17 win over Lyon and a 15-13 away triumph against Bordeaux-Begles.

And he added: "It was a great result against Argentina and the guys will obviously be really looking forward to a tough test against the All Blacks on Saturday."

Kellock will wish he was on the Murrayfield turf on Saturday. Vern Cotter left him out of the squad, but the Warriors icon is still on a high from his recent Baa-Baas stint.

The 33-year-old skippered the select side in the 40-36 defeat against Australia at Twickenham earlier this month, and he said it was a special moment in his career.

"It's a huge honour to be involved with the Barbarians and it's an experience I'll never forget.

"I had no idea beforehand that I was also going to be made captain for the Australia game and it's a privilege."
