SCOTLAND and Glasgow Warriors ace Jon Welsh will go under the knife after picking up an injury in Sunday's defeat to Wales.
The loose-head prop, who scored his country's second try in the dying seconds of the 23-26 reverse at Bt Murrayfield, suffered a fracture to his hand during the Six Nations tie and is now set to miss the rest of the campaign as a result.
Meanwhile, fellow-Scotstoun and Scotland team-mate Finn Russell has been cited for a tackle on Wales' Dan Biggar.
The stand-off received a yellow card for the challenge from referee Glen Jackson during the game, and will now appear before an independent Six Nations disciplinary committee later this week.
