Scott Jamieson claims he will not fear going head-to-head with the Euro stars in next week's Vivendi Seve Trophy.
The Cathkin Braes golfer has earned a place in Paul McGinley's 10-man Great Britain and Ireland side for the clash with Continental Europe in Paris.
Jamieson is enjoying a good rookie season on the main circuit and is 38th on the Race to Dubai rankings having racked up a trio of third-place finishes.
The former Scottish amateur ace is set to team up with world No.2 Lee Westwood and Open champ Darren Clarke against a European side headlined by Thomas Bjorn and Ryder Cup veteran Miguel Angel Jimenez.
Jamieson said: "One of the big things for me this season was when I played alongside Martin Kaymer and realised that these players are just golfers and play the sport I do.
"I won't be feeling daunted whoever I come up against. There are no players in the Continental side I fear.
"It's going to be a great opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the stronger guys in our team like Westwood, Clarke and Ian Poulter.
"I'm sure I'm going to learn so much. There's a lot of experience in our side and it's going to look great on the cv."
