BILLY REID reckons camaraderie has been key for Hamilton after they continued their impressive run of form with a 2-0 win over Raith Rovers.

After a poor start to the campaign that left them in the lower echelons of the Irn-Bru First Division, Accies have found their feet in recent weeks and have stated to climb the table, writes Chris Jack.

A Brian Graham own goal and a late strike from Stevie May handed the New Douglas Park side victory in Fife, and Reid was delighted with his side.

He said: "After the game I could feel the elation among the players.

"This is probably the best team spirit we have had for some time.

"A lot of these guys have come through the system and the new players we have picked up are gelling really well at the moment.

"That tells me something with their attitude and the way they dug in to grind out the result.

"Over the last nine or 10 games our form has been outstanding and hopefully we can grow from that.

"Alex Neil, who is a big, big player for us, was out, but Mickey Devlin who has been sitting in the wings came in.

"He is a centre-back but we played him in the holding role again.

"He fills holes, fills gaps and wins headers and he is composed on the ball. I thought he did great."
