ALBION ROVERS failed to hoist themselves to safety in the Irn-Bru Second Division last night after going down 2-1 at home to Brechin City.
Despite taking the lead on 30 minutes thanks to a Gary Phillips strike, Todd Lumsden's men failed to claim their fourth win this term as Andrew Jackson and Derek Carcary netted for the visitors in the second half.
Their third defeat on the bounce leaves the Coatbridge side rooted in ninth place, a mere two points above bottom-placed Stranraer having played a game more.
