BILLY REID says Hamilton's midweek cup form against St Mirren proves they have what it takes to turn their campaign around.
After a disappointing start to the Irn-Bru First Division, Accies were upset as Danny Lennon's side edged their Scottish Communities League Cup tie on Tuesday.
Reid said: "We have got something to build on. We are a young group, but we will get better. Tuesday night showed we are a team that can play against a top SPL club.
"They are reknowned for getting the ball down and playing. I think we did every bit as good as them."
Defender Jonathan Page could make his Accies bow against Dunfermline tomorrow after signing on a one-month loan from Motherwell.
