Billy Reid's side head into the Firhill clash on the back of a frustrating derby draw with Airdrie on Saturday that saw May rescue a point in the dying seconds of the game.
Accies have beaten the Jags twice this season, both at New Douglas Park, and head to Glasgow aiming to improve on a 4-0 defeat earlier in the campaign.
The Lanarkshire side have a busy schedule coming up but May is relishing the challenge as they look to climb the Irn-Bru First Division standings.
He said: "I am happy to be getting goals but I think three points on Saturday would have been the main thing.
"Goals are what strikers are judged on and I am happy with my goal tally so far.
"We are all looking forward to the Thistle game although we know it is going to be tough.
"We will be there to fight. We had a good outing against them the last time so they will probably be wary of us and we have nothing to lose.
"We are playing Saturday and Tuesday but as a footballer you just want to play in as many games as possible.
"There will be a lot of tired legs about but you would rather have that than having a week between games."
