The towering hitman scored in each of his first three games for the Coatbridge side in his initial month-long loan deal and Rovers boss Todd Lumsden was keen to nail him down for longer.
Thistle boss Jackie McNamara agreed, although he will not allow his player to be cup-tied by playing in the Third Round of the Scottish Cup.
Lumsden said: "As well as providing a threat and scoring goals, Mark has had an excellent attitude during his time here.
"He still trains with Thistle as well as training two nights a week with us and hopefully the extended loan spell will continue as a win-win basis for everyone involved."
