JACK ROSS has praised his Dumbarton side following their victory over East Stirlingshire in the William Hill Scottish Cup fourth round.
Goals from Andy Graham, Jim Lister, Bryan Prunty and Alan Lithgow gave the hosts a 4-1 win at the Bet Butler Stadium as they booked their place in the next round and handed Ross his first win as interim boss, writes Chris Jack.
He said: "To defeat a side with a great cup record is a big one for us. I am delighted for the players as they have waited some time for a decent home win.
"Now we are in with the big clubs in the next round and can kick on with the league games."
He added: "I've got nothing different to report on the job; I'm just getting on with what I've been asked to do.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed the last couple of weeks and having the opportunity to manage Dumbarton."
