The Spiders joined the national squad at Hampden on Wednesday morning for a training session ahead of tonight's World Cup Qualifier with Wales at the National Stadium.
It gave Speirs' players the chance to take to the field alongside our top dark blues stars, including Celtic duo Charlie Mulgrew and Kris Commons.
Queen's Park head to Galabank this weekend aiming to keep up their impressive recent form and continue their push for second place in the Irn-Bru Third Division this term and Speirs admits his players relished the chance to pit their wits against those on national service.
He said: "We were invited to train with the Scotland squad on Wednesday morning and we were delighted to be asked. It was a great experience for all our players and the boys thoroughly enjoyed it.
"We had about 18 players there and they all enjoyed going to take part in the session with the national side and their coaches.
"It was a real thrill for our players, every one of our guys appreciated and made the most of it. We were happy to be there.
"It can only benefit them being involved with international standard players. But our main focus is on Saturday and the Annan game, though."
