Shiels slams 'derisory' Everton bid for starlet

Kilmarnock boss Kenny Shiels has blasted Everton's bid for talented teenager Matthew Kennedy as derisory, and accused the Toffees of unsettling the starlet.

The furious Rugby Park boss has already thrown out the bid for the 17-year-old which is believed to be lower than the £250,000 reported.

Despite the controversy, Shiels hopes to have the forward in his side for tomorrow's clash with Ross County. He said: "There are all sorts of rumours going around, but he is playing for me tomorrow.

"Everton made a derisory offer which was disrespectful to the club and unsettled the player.

"But that can change as you know and if we were speaking tomorrow it might be different, but hopefully it won't be."
