ALAN ADAMSON is confident his Dumbarton squad has the quality to beat the drop from the Irn-Bru First Division.
After slumping to a 4-1 defeat to Airdrie last weekend, the Sons travel to Cowdenbeath tomorrow aiming to get off and running.
Adamson said: "We certainly do not look on it differently to any other game.
"It is true to say that it is another part-time side, but we will take each game on its merits.
"Many people say that Airdrie, Cowdenbeath and Dumbarton will have a mini-league at the bottom this season.
"But if you asked me on Saturday if I'd rather have Airdrie's team or Dumbarton's for an assault on the First Division – even after the game – I would still have said Dumbarton's team."
In the Second Division, Albion Rovers host newly-promoted Alloa as manager Todd Lumsden searches for his first win as boss.
