DUMBARTON have completed a deal to sign keeper Mark Brown for the new Championship campaign.
The 34-year-old was released by Ross County at the end of the season and had been linked with a move to St Mirren to work with former Sons boss Ian Murray.
But the former Rangers and Celtic shot-stopper has agreed terms on a one-year deal at the Rock as he becomes manager Stevie Aitken's latest summer recruit.
Aitken has already completed moves for Gregor Buchanan, Grant Gallagher, Kevin Cawley, Darren Miller and Mark Docherty ahead of the new campaign and is pleased to have Brown on board.
He said: "I'm delighted that Mark has opted to sign for us.
"There were a few other full-time clubs after him, but our message of what a good place Dumbarton FC is, succeeded.
"It's been a busy couple of days and it's always pleasing when plans come together."
