ALAN STUBBS is determined to hold on to midfielder Scott Allan after he was linked with a move to Rangers.
The 23-year-old was a standout for Hibernian in the Championship last season and Celtic have also been credited with an interest in him.
Easter Road boss Stubbs said: “Scott has one year left on his contract and we are comfortable with that.
“The most important thing is that we try and put a team together that is going to be fighting for promotion. To do that, you need to have your best players and Scott falls into that bracket.
“The club come first. We can’t stop teams from putting bids in, but we are not welcoming them because Scott is an important member of the squad.”
