STEVIE AITKEN is relishing his Cappielow return this afternoon as he looks to get off to a winning start as Dumbarton boss.
The Sons gaffer spent eight years with the Ton in his playing days and will now look to see off his former side in the Petrofac Training Cup first round.
Aitken will be without summer signing Mark Doherty as he serves a one-match ban from last term but Jamie Lindsay is in the squad following his arrival from Celtic this week.
Aitken said: "I can't wait for the real stuff to start. It's our first competitive game of the season and it's a good environment to play at Cappielow.
"There should be a good crowd and this will create a great atmosphere.
"Hopefully our fans will make some noise and get behind the team. It's a tough fixture for us, but as I said, everyone is really looking forward to getting things underway."
