Hearts midfielder Arnaud Djoum admits it would be a dream come true if the Jambos could pip Celtic to the Ladbrokes Premiership title.

But the Belgian insists the Tynecastle outfit cannot afford to spend to much time fantasising while they seek to achieve their main objective of clinching a top-six slot.

The newly-promoted Championship winners have made a stunning return to the top-flight.

Four successive league wins have established Hearts as the Hoops' nearest challengers.

Head coach Robbie Neilson, though, is refusing to talk up their chances of halting the Parkhead outfit's march towards five-in-a-row.

And Djoum - who scored the second goal in his side's 2-0 win over Hamilton on Saturday - agrees with his boss' tact.

He said: "I think we dream about winning the league but first of all the objective of the club is to reach the top six.

"Now we are close to Celtic and that's good, it means the team is doing well.

"We need to keep doing this now and try to win as many games as possible. I think we are in good shape and we need to continue like that.

"But if we put too much pressure on ourselves that would not be good.

"We don't want to think about second place and we don't want to think about Celtic.

"We just need to focus on ourselves and try to win games, that's the most important thing.

"If we start to think about Celtic the team is not going to go well. We just need to try and win all of our games.

"I think we can keep winning because this is a really good team.

"There are no stars, it is just a good collective, we all work hard and we are all running and fighting on the pitch.

"But we also have quality. And if you put all of that together I think we have a good chance to have a good season and be strong in this league."
