Barry Ferguson has called upon his Clyde players to seize their opportunity to seal their place in the League Two promotion play-offs.

Despite some patchy recent form and last week’s defeat to Queen’s Park dropping the Bully Wee down to fourth in the table, their fate remains in their own hands.

Win against Stirling Albion at Broadwood today, and it doesn’t matter what result fifth-placed Annan get against Gus MacPherson’s Spiders at Galabank – Clyde will be in the playoffs.

"It's in our own hands so we've got to be positive and go out to get the right result,” Ferguson said. “Stirling had a good result last week though and they've always given us a tough game, so we are definitely expecting another difficult game.

"There's no doubt that the boys will go out and give it everything again, but they just need to regain the level of quality needed to get the win.”

While still having several players on the injury list, Clyde’s hopes of getting that victory have been boosted by the return of David Marsh from suspension.

Regardless of who may be missing though, manager Ferguson says that there is enough quality in his squad to make sure that they are not the ones left on the outside looking in.

"We've had a bit of bad luck with injuries but we're not using that as an excuse,” he said.

“As I've said before, that's part and parcel of football and the team that goes out will be capable of winning the match."
