Queen’s Park will be going to Cowdenbeath aiming to win in order to reach the play-off final, according to midfielder Joe Bradley.

The Spiders are in command of their semi-final tie against the Blue Brazil after turning in a dominant display at Hampden to win 2-0 on Wednesday night, but it could have been much more as the hosts missed a series of opportunities.

Despite the luxury of the two-goal lead though, Bradley says that that his side will not be going to Central Park just to defend.

“It feels good,” he said. "We’ve got a great chance to get into a play-off final now, even though we know it’s only half-time.

“In the changing room everyone was positive, but we know it could have been three, four or even five-nil. If it was that the tie would have been over, but it’s far from over now.

“There’s nothing stopping us from going and getting a win on Saturday though.

“It’s a dangerous lead and we’ve got a full 90 minutes to go. You could see our home park definitely suits us with the players we’ve got. We like to get the ball down and play it down the channels.

“On a tighter park we’re still more than capable of going and performing and getting the win though.

“The last two games before tonight was Clyde and Annan, and there were times in those games we had to battle and weather the storm, and we did that.

“Although we got beat on Saturday there, we were still looking at the positives from the game that we were under pressure, they were lumping the ball in, but we battled it out and we will need to do that again on Saturday. There’s nothing to stop us winning again.”

Queen’s Park’s cause was aided during the week by a goal inside the first 25 seconds, and Bradley believes that another quick start could put the tie to bed.

“The start set the tone for the rest of the match for us,” he said. “I actually felt that after we got the goal we sat in a wee bit, but over the 90 minutes it could have definitely been more than 2-0.”
