FORMER Rangers winger Chris Burke, who won two league titles while at Ibrox, has signed a one-year deal with Ross County.

The 32-year-old was a free agent after leaving Nottingham Forest in the summer and returns to Scottish football for the first time since departing the Gers in January 2009.

Burke, who has scored two goals in seven caps for Scotland, spent seven years with the Light Blues and made 75 appearances in a Gers shirt.

Since leaving Glasgow he has had spells with Cardiff City, Birmingham City, Nottingham Forest and Rotherham.

He becomes Ross County's eighth signing of the summer as Jim McIntyre's side aim to improve on last season's sixth-placed finish.
