Kilmarnock caretaker manager Lee McCulloch has put talk of his future on hold until after Sunday's game against Aberdeen.
Lee Clark has given McCulloch strong backing to succeed him as Rugby Park boss after leaving the Ladbrokes Premiership club for Bury on Wednesday.
The assistant boss could be handed the reins until the end of the season or on a longer-term basis but he is keen to focus on the short term first as he and first-team coach Peter Leven prepare for the visit of in-form Aberdeen.
The 38-year-old said: "It's not really gone as far as what's going to happen (this week). We were training yesterday and I had a brief chat to come off training with (directors) Michael Johnston and John Kiltie just to see what was going to happen.
"I said: 'No problem, I will take Sunday, the boys are training, can I go back out and help Peter?'
"That's basically it, I said we would speak after Sunday."
