ST MIRREN have completed the signing of striker Darryl Duffy from Indian side Mohun Bagan.

The 33-year-old, who came through the Rangers youth ranks before departing Ibrox in 2004, has put pen to paper on a one-year deal in Paisley.

Duffy has spent the last four years plying his trade in Indian football with Salgaocar, Goa and Mohun Bagan.

He previously had spells in Scottish football with Falkirk and Hibs, as well as representing the likes of Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town, Swansea City and Hull City south of the border.

"I'm really excited," the former Scotland Under-21 internationalist told the Buddies' official website.

"It's great to be back home in Scotland. I've been away for a long time and to come back to such a good club in St Mirren is fantastic."

Jack Ross' side got off to a winning start in the Championship last weekend with a 3-1 victory against Falkirk and face a trip to rivals Greenock Morton this Saturday.
