MICKAEL ANTOINE-CURIER admits he has unfinished business south of the border as he sets his sights on another crack at English football.

The much-travelled striker has been one of the stars of the season for high-flying Hamilton and has seven goals to his credit already this term.

Antoine-Curier turned out for nine English clubs in just three years during the early stages of his career.

And the 31-year-old, who is out of contract at New Douglas Park in the summer, has not given up hope of making an impact across the border in the future.

He said: "I am desperate to show people, all my life I have had to prove myself everywhere I have went.

"What happened in the past happened in the past, I am not going to change it.

"But the one thing I can do is prove people wrong. This year I am doing that and last year I did that so I will try to keep going and see where that takes me.

"The sky is the limit. I don't think I would be too pretentious to see myself at a very high level but I am an ambitious guy and I just need a chance.

"If someone gives me the chance, I will try to repay them as much as I can.

"I think people misjudge the level of Scotland. A lot of players from Scotland are doing well down south so hopefully people will notice me and I will do well down south as well."

Before Antoine-Curier can look to strive for success in England, he will hope to help Hamilton to a history-making top flight finish.

Alex Neil's side are already 25 points clear of bottom of the table St Mirren and could go second in the standings with victory over Kilmarnock this afternoon.

But MAC admits Accies don't need to think back far to see what can happen when results start going against you in the Premiership.

He said: "Hibs are a good club and I still have good memories there.

"They were fifth and then all of a sudden they were fighting to stay in the league and then we beat them in a play-off. They were the favourites but we managed to do it.

"I have seen some crazy things happen in football.

"The most important thing is to stay focused and get as many wins as you can so you are mathematically safe. From there, you can have other motivations."
