BARRY FERGUSON is hoping his summer shopping spree is not over yet after adding another three players to his Clyde squad on deadline day.

The Bully Wee boss brought in experienced duo Stephen O'Donnell and Andy Gibson ahead of the League Two clash with Berwick at the weekend and was busy in the transfer market once again on Monday night.

Craig Halkett came on loan from Rangers, Euan Smith arrived from Kilmarnock and Craig McLeish agreed a one-year deal to make the step up from East Kilbride FC.

Ferguson has now overhauled his squad as he looks to guide Clyde to the League Two crown this term.

But the Broadwood manager is eager to strengthen at both ends of the park as he looks to add more players to his first-team pool.

Fergie said: "I was delighted to get the three guys in on the last day of the transfer window. It was a long day with a lot of phonecalls, but I had been chasing them all for a while so I was pleased to finalise the deals.

"Craig McLeish is a left-sided midfielder but also versatile. Craig Halkett is an aggressive centre half and will give us competition in that area, which we want in every position. Euan is a box-to-box midfielder who will get beyond the front players.

"I'm still in discussion with other potential signings that I believe we can complete.

"I'm still hoping to bring in another two or three. Our targets now include a defender and forward."
