BARRY FERGUSON was pleased with the reaction of his Clyde stars as they halted their pointless run on Saturday.

The Bully Wee suffered three consecutive League Two defeats before the weekend tie with Annan.

Midfielder Euan Smith was on target as Ferguson's side bounced back from defeat to Montrose with a 1-1 draw.

Clyde remain bottom of the fourth tier table but boss Ferguson said: "We should have won it but that has been the story of our season.

"I knew I would get a response from midweek.

"The guys always work hard. We are just waiting on that win.

"I asked the goalkeeper at the end of the game 'did you do anything?' and he said 'no, I had a couple of passbacks and caught a couple of balls but, apart from that, it is the quietest game I've had. That tells me a story.

"We are just not getting the win. We were the better team but didn't win the game."
