ALBION ROVERS will continue to monitor the fitness of defender Ross Dunlop ahead of their League Two clash with Berwick Rangers this weekend.

The stopper missed the 2-2 draw with Clyde last Saturday due to illness but could make his return when Darren Young's side face the Wee Gers at Cliftonhill.

Young will have full-back Alan Reid available once again after a two-game suspension but Ciaran Donnelly will miss out after being sent off against the Bully Wee.

The visit of Colin Cameron's side is the first match of a crucial period for Rovers, who face Elgin on League Two duty on Tuesday night before taking on Queen's Park in the Scottish Cup.

Boss Young said: "It's going to be a case of keeping the boys ticking over.

"And concentrating on playing Berwick at home first and foremost.

"It will be a hard game and it was difficult when we played them away from home but we want to pick up the three points and get ourselves back up the table.

"The Elgin game is a bit of a nightmare for us as boys are working but we'll go there and look to get a result.

"We've got three games in a week but a big enough squad to deal with that.

"Hopefully by the end of next week we will have another six points in the bag and be a lot closer to Arbroath."
