TEN-MAN Dumbarton rescued a point with a stoppage-time strike from Chris Kane in a dramatic 2-2 draw with Livingston at the Bet Butler Stadium.

Ian Murray's side were dealt an early blow when an injury to Chris Turner cut short the midfielder's return from suspension.

And it was a similar story at the start of the second half - but this time their numbers were reduced on a permanent basis when Garry Fleming was shown a second yellow card.

Fleming, booked just before the break for a foul on Jason Talbot, clashed with the same player and was given his marching orders by referee Stevie O'Reilly, who also showed yellow to the Livingston player.

It was one of O'Reilly's last deeds of the night as he soon limped out of the action, handing his whistle to standside assistant Raymond Whyte.

Livi then took the lead midway through the second half when Keaghan Jacobs steered an 18-yard shot beyond Stephen Grindlay's despairing dive.

Despite the setback, Dumbarton, as they have often done this season, battled back and were level when Mitch Megginson fed substitute Colin Nish, whose low shot was too good for Kevin Walker.

However, their hopes of taking anything from the game appeared to have been dealt a blow when Jacobs turned provider to give Andy Barrowman a tap-in.

Instead, the Sons fought back for a second time and, in the fifth of 13 minutes added on for O'Reilly's injury, Kane scored from close range.
