BARRY FERGUSON hopes he will have a busy day in the transfer market as he bids to bolster his Clyde ranks.

The Bully Wee boss saw his side draw 3-3 with Berwick on Saturday as a Scott McManus double and Michael Daly strike earned them a point.

Ferguson handed a starting debut to returning midfielder Stephen O'Donnell, while fellow new recruit Andy Gibson came off the bench.

He said: "I have got five or six targets and hopefully I will get three or four of them across the line. I need good players, I have got good players in the dressing room, and I need good people as well.

"Stephen did well. He has not kicked a ball for a long time, but he is experienced and that is what I wanted.

"He has got a lot of experience and he is a real people's man. He talks to people in the right manner and that is what I want."

Elsewhere in SPFL League 2, Mark McKenzie fired Albion Rovers to a 1-0 win over Queen's Park.

The Cliftonhill side are up to second in the standings and gaffer Darren Young said: "Sometimes you need to win ugly and that's what we had to do.

"We have played well over the last few weeks, but we never created much this time so we had to dig in.

"It's the best start we have had in 12 years so we are delighted."

While Rovers have flown out of the traps, Queen's have just three points to their name, but boss Gus MacPherson reckons his side should have had a share of the spoils. "It was scrappy," he said. "A point was the least we deserved."
