BARRY FERGUSON is planning a triple whammy over former Scotland team-mate Gary Naysmith today.

The Clyde boss has already racked up two wins over Naysmith's East Fife this season.

And he's aiming to clinch a hat-trick of victories when the two League Two sides clash at Bayview this afternoon.

Despite the double triumphs earlier this season, Ferguson know his team face a tough 90 minutes.

The Bully wee gaffer said: "We're not taking anything for granted.

"The wins against them are in the past and they have picked up in recent weeks. We know it is going to be a hard one.

"We will be prepared because we know it is going to be difficult with the way that they set up and the way that they play. We are under no illusions, it is going to be hard."

The two managers know each other well, having played together with the national team on a number of occasions.

Ferguson continued: "East Fife have been pretty similar to us, Gary has his own ideas, just like myself.

"I know Gary really well and it's nice to come up against an old playing partner .

"But he's encountered the same problems I have had, coming into a job and evaluating the squad, you have your own ideas and some players don't fit into it."

Meanwhile, Ferguson revealed Scott McManus's injury will not keep him out for as long as first feared.

McManus was taken off with what looked like a serious injury just nine minutes into Saturday's 2-0 win over Albion Rover.

However, Ferguson explained: "Scotty will be missing for a week or two - it is not too serious so that is the main thing.

"It looked a bad one but thankfully he went to hospital and they gave him the all clear as it was just bone bruising."
