Alan Martin is desperate to rip up Albion Rovers' title-winning script - because he can't face Clyde's arch-rivals celebrating at Broadwood.

Rovers can clinch the SPFL League Two flag when they visit Cumbernauld this weekend this weekend.

Victory for Darren Young's side, who have a five point lead, would wrap up the title race if second-place Queen's Park stumble

But Martin is urging his team-mates to rain on their title-winning parade.

The 26-year-old keeper said: "There are tough games ahead and none bigger than Albion Rovers at home, they can win the league this weekend if results go their way.

"And we don't want that to happen. We don't to see them celebrate in front of us and at our own stadium."

Last week's announcement that manager Barry Ferguson had hung up his boots attracted a lot of headlines.

But Martin revealed it's hardly created any ripples within the Clyde dressing room.

He said: "The boys don't really focus on that side of things, that's the gaffer's decision and that doesn't affect any of us.

"We have a very good squad of players with loads of experience so our aim is to win the remaining games and end the season strong."

The Bully Wee dropped points on the road to Berwick Rangers in their game at the weekend

And the shotstopper believes it's important for them to return to winning ways and end the season with a flourish.

He said: "Our aim is to just go and try win every game from now till May and see where that takes us.

"We had a lot of chances on Saturday but we've lacked that finishing touch all season.

"It happens but we just need to pick ourselves up and try finish the season strongly."
