Craig Thomson will referee the Celtic-Rangers QTS Scottish League Cup semi-final.
Thomson, who is in his 13th year as a Fifa whistler, has refereed 10 Old Firm matches, including the 2011 League Cup final, and is the most experienced official available to the SFA having taken charge of six major cup finals.
The assistants at the Hampden clash on February 1 will be Graham Chambers and David McGeachie, with Calum Murray the fourth official.
Steven McLean will take charge of the other semi-final between Aberdeen and Dundee United the previous day. Bobby Madden, who had been reported to be in line for the Glasgow derby, will be the fourth official.
