DARIAN MacKINNON reckons Hamilton have proved the doubters wrong after taking six points from their first three Premiership outings.
The midfielder was the Accies hero last weekend as he netted the only goal of the game against St Johnstone at New Douglas Park. Coming days after their win at St Mirren, it means Alex Neil's side face Partick Thistle at Firhill tomorrow aiming to record their third top-flight triumph in a row.
And MacKinnon, 28, insists the Premiership newcomers have shown they have what it takes to compete at the highest level.
He said: "It was good to get another win and build on the St Mirren result. I was especially pleased to get my first goal in the Premiership. It means a lot to me.
"It just shows you how good a squad we have here.
"We were written off after we lost our first league game to Inverness, which was probably a blessing in disguise for us.
"We have to try to put points on the board, so hopefully this is the start of a good run for us."
