DARREN YOUNG insists Albion won't take the challenge of bottom-of- the-table Elgin lightly tomorrow after seeing new boss Jim Weir get off to a flyer at Borough Briggs.

Weir's side held League Two leaders Arbroath in midweek on the same night that Rovers slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Annan.

It was to prove a disappointing evening all round for Cliftonhill boss Young as his side never hit their stride at Galabank.

The visit of Elgin tomorrow gives them a quickfire chance to get back on track and back to winning ways to keep up the pressure at the summit.

Albion are currently third in the fourth tier standings, four points adrift of Allan Moore's side and one behind Queen's Park.

And boss Young knows they will be in for a tough afternoon when City make the trip to Coatbridge this weekend.

He said: "It was a disappointing result for us at Annan, but we are determined to bounce back tomorrow.

"Elgin had a great result against Arbroath on Tuesday night and they have got a new manager in as well, so all the players there are fighting for a place in the team.

"It will be a really hard game for us so we need to make sure we're up for it.

"It always happens when a team get a new manager, the players there have a point to prove and that usually comes through in terms of results.

"The players would have done that on Tuesday with the result and performance against Arbroath. By all means, they could have won it.

"I expect a tough game, but it is about what our boys do and we will be ready for it and looking to get back on track again."
