MORTON are hoping to get Jamie McCluskey to agree a new deal to keep him at Cappielow until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old winger, brother of Ton striker Stefan, has impressed for Jim Duffy's side after agreeing a short-term deal last month.

And he could now put pen to paper on an extension ahead of the League One clash with Peterhead tomorrow.

Duffy said: "We know Jamie can play. He has a terrific first touch and he can create things. He's done well for us so far.

"I have spoken to him and hopefully we can get him tied up until the end of the season."

McCluskey made his Hibs debut at 16 in 2004 and has since played for St Johnstone, Wrexham, St Mirren, Clyde, Dundee and Forfar. Meanwhile, Ton have been handed a home tie against Alloa in the Petrofac Training Cup quarter-finals.

Stranraer will host Falkirk while Livingston travel to Peterhead.
