JIM DUFFY admits Morton will face a fired-up Stenhousemuir as his side look to maintain their place at the top of the table tomorrow.

The Ton claimed pole position in the League One title race with victory over Airdrieonians last weekend and welcome Scott Booth's side to Cappielow aiming to continue their solid run of form. Stenny took the spoils when the teams squared up earlier in the season at Ochilview as Morton suffered a rare defeat.

Duffy's side are just a point clear of Forfar at the top of the table and also have Dunfermline and Stranraer breathing down their necks.

He said: "Scott is a terrific young coach and he left his position at the SFA to take the job at Stenhousemuir. That shows his desire to be successful as a manager and tells you that he has that commitment to put his ideas in place.

"They had a fantastic result against Dunfermline and that will give them a boost going into the game.

"To win and get a clean sheet against a top side in the division is a terrific result so they will be buoyant going into our game on Saturday.

"They beat 2-1 us the last time we played. So that will give them a bit of confidence as well.

"It will be a really tricky game for us and one we will have to approach with the right mentality to have any chance of winning."

Morton have lost just two of their last eight games since that Stenny defeat in October. And Duffy is eager to keep up the momentum.

He said: "We have had a lot of difficult matches, but we have got some positive results and we want to keep that going.

"It is not easy in any division but you look forward to the games more if you have had positive results and the players are in good spirits."
