ANDY GRAHAM is confident Dumbarton can shackle Dundee United's star-studded forward line and cause a cup shock tonight.

Jackie McNamara's Premiership side head to the Bet Butler Stadium for their League Cup second-round clash, with the Sons boasting one of the most dangerous attacking arsenal's in the country.

But Rock defender Graham is determined Ian Murray's men will rise to the challenge as they bid for a third-round berth.

He said: "The pressure is on them to come and win the game. You play football to play in big games and to test yourself against the best players in the country and Dundee United have got a really good group of players.

"They have got guys like David Goodwillie and Gary Mackay-Steven and you want to apply yourself against the likes of them.

"We have got nothing to lose so we will enjoy the game.

"Brian Graham was one of the best strikers in the First Division in the last few years and Chris Erskine was great last year so they have got a lot of options going forward. It will be a challenge for us.

"We know Brian and Chris from playing against them last year, but I am sure they will have improved by making the step up so it will be hard for us."

Shutting out United's forwards will be key for Dumbarton if they are to build on Saturday's win over Morton and claim a huge cup scalp.

Loan star Aaron Barry will partner Graham at the heart of the Sons rearguard once again and the 29-year-old said: "Aaron has come in and done great, he has got a lot of potential to do well in the game. He is still training full-time with Sheffield United most of the week and that can only bring him on.

"He was desperate to come out and play games.

"I think we are starting to form a decent under-standing and we can have a good partnership between now and January. I am enjoying playing alongside him."
