GUS MacPHERSON is pleased with his progress as he looks to reshape his Queen's Park ranks for the new season.
The Hampden boss has spent several months assessing the players he inherited from Gardner Speirs when he assumed the Spiders hotseat earlier in the campaign.
QP are likely to finish bottom of SPFL League Two standings this term and head to promotion hopefuls Annan this weekend aiming to end the campaign on a high as MacPherson continues to cast his net far and wide.
He said: "As I have said from the first day, we are analysing the players and the team and that will continue for the next three games.
"Sean Burns and Gavin Mitchell have agreed to sign on again following on from Tony Quinn and James Baty so we are starting to identify who we would like to retain for next season.
"Hopefully, between now and the end of the season, we can add a few more bodies to the squad.
"We have been fortunate that we knew we had a period of time to assess things and then identify the areas of the squad that we would like to strengthen for next year.
"We have been able to do that, which is pleasing, and that process continues, it never ends.
"We are always looking to add and improve the squad that we have here.
"I am at games most nights of the week, whether that is Under-20 games, Junior games, amateur games.
"We are not signing players on reputations or anything like that.
"We have got scouts at games at all sorts of levels looking at players that could come in and compliment what we have already.
"That is the challenge for us."
