GUS MACPHERSON insists there will be no let up from Queen's Park in League Two as their attentions turn to the play-offs this term.

The Spiders clinched second spot in the standings with a draw at Arbroath last weekend and head into their final two games against East Stirlingshire and Clyde aiming to keep up the momentum ahead of the promotion shoot-out.

After finishing bottom of the pile last season, boss MacPherson has transformed the fortunes of QP as they have been at the sharp end of the standings from the off.

The first leg of the play-off semi-final is on Wednesday, May 6 and the Hampden gaffer is eager to continue moving in the right direction as they look to cap a much improved campaign in style.

He said: "Everything now is geared towards the play-offs and we have a couple of games to decide how we will go about it.

"We will freshen up one or two areas over the course of the next couple of games to make sure that everyone is fit and available for selection come the first leg.

"The attitude of the players has been fantastic all season. There has been a terrific work ethic and I don't expect that to change.

"We spoke to them a couple of weeks ago to say that the group as we had it would be the one that would have go get us through the season.

"They have reacted in the right manner, we beat Annan at home and then got the last minute equaliser up at Arbroath.

"We have been pretty consistent all season. The only blip we had was when we had four draws in-a-row.

"It has been a really good season, whatever happens. To finish second after finishing bottom last season is a terrific achievement."
