LIAM CRAIG has brushed aside Bilel Mohsni's dig at Hibernian last week after Alan Stubbs' side shocked Rangers.

The Light Blues defender claimed Hibs were out of the title race after a poor start to the campaign but his words came back to haunt him as Hibs won 3-1 on Monday.

Boss Ally McCoist was upset with Mohsni's comments but Craig was keen to focus on the positives for the Hibees.

He said: "You get told about it but we know what our squad is about and we know we have good players.

"We know we have let ourselves and the club down with some of the results but we know we have players capable of coming to places like Ibrox and winning games.

"The fans have been brilliant ever since I came to the club even though there have been some tough times.

"To see them like they were at Ibrox gives you a buzz and makes you want to go on a run because when we do get it right, it is incredible.

"The fans have been incredible and that is why it is important we go and give the same sort of performance on Saturday and get the win."

It was to prove a night to remember for Hibs as they kick-started their Championship title challenge and moved to within four points of the Gers.

Jason Cummings' brace either side of David Gray's header clinched a deserved win.

And Craig is delighted to see Cummings shining on the big stage.

He said: "Jason is still a young boy who is a really good talent.

"A few of the senior boys have told him the harder he works, the more chances he will get.

"I think he showed that against Rangers because his workrate was second to none. He had two great finishes."
