HEARTS star Jason Holt has refused to write off Hibs' title chances this term ahead of their derby clash on Sunday.

The Jambos maintained their nine-point lead over Rangers at the top of the Championship standings with a 5-1 home win over Dumbarton.

Hours later, Alan Stubbs' side eased to a 4-0 triumph at Livingston, but they are 14 points off the pace.

The race for the second-tier crown looks set to be a straight fight between Robbie Neilson's men and the Gers.

But Holt insists Hearts' capital counterparts can still have a part to play in the coming months.

He said: "People have written Hibs off and have us as Championship winners already, but that's not the viewpoint at Tynecastle.

"First and foremost, we concentrate on ourselves. On Sunday we'll go and try and get three points.

"We're not concerned what the press and anyone else is saying. We go and do our jobs and that's to go and keep getting three points every week.

"We beat Hibs earlier in the season, but that's in the past now. We look forward and it'll be a completely different game.

"The main thing we want is three points and to keep going. That's what we're after.

"We want to keep winning and, if we want to do anything this year, then we need to keep winning games. That's what we're doing so far and we look to hopefully continue it."
