DARREN YOUNG was delighted his Albion title winners put in another huge effort as they ensured their promotion party wasn't dampened on Saturday.

A last-minute leveller from Ally Love earned Rovers a draw at home to Arbroath before the Cliftonhill squad were presented with the fourth tier silverware.

It has been a season to remember in Coatbridge and boss Young said: "To be honest, it had a sort of end of season feel about it but the boys showed great attitude and desire to get back into it so late on.

"We are now all looking forward to going up a division and it makes all the effort and sacrifices the boys have made throughout the season worthwhile."

While Albion can now start planning for a League One campaign next term, Queen's Park still have work to do if they are to join them as they bid for play-off success.

Gus MacPherson's side were held to a 1-1 draw at home to East Stirlingshire on Saturday as Pat Slattery netted his first senior goal.

The Spiders boss said: "It was a pretty open game. Today was about getting game-time for as many of the boys as we possibly could before the play-offs."

Elsewhere, Clyde moved up to seventh in the standings with a 1-0 win at bottom of the table Montrose.

David Marsh netted the only goal of the game and Bully Wee boss Barry Ferguson said: "We can play a lot better, but to get three points away from home is a good result."
