LEWIS Macleod today revealed that playing in the same Rangers side as Kris Boyd and Kenny Miller is turning him into a better player.
Boyd and Miller both netted in the 3-0 win over SPFL Championship rivals Dumbarton at the Bet Butler Stadium on Saturday - the second league game in a row they had hit the target.
And Macleod, who was handed a start in his preferred position in central midfield against the Sons, relishes having them alongside him.
He said: "He is just an all-round good player. He has good movement up front. He drops deep and picks up the ball well and makes a big difference to the team.
"And he is starting to click up front with Boydy. If Kenny is moving off the ball and Boydy is in behind then it makes my job a lot easier.
"Playing with guys like Kenny and Boydy and watching them in training helps guys like myself, Nicky Clark and Fraser Aird and all of the younger boys as well."
MacLeod scored the winner against Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the last round of the League Cup - and he is hoping to help Rangers beat St. Johnstone in that competition at Ibrox tomorrow night.
The Scotland Under-21 star reckons Rangers are in good spirits heading into that match and the Scottish Cup game with Dumbarton on Saturday.
He said: "It was good to beat Dumbarton so convincingly because we have them in the Scottish Cup next week. It gives us confidence we can get a result.
"But we will have to step up a level against St Johnstone. I have been looking forward to the game for a while. Hopefully we can put a performance in."
