IAN MURRAY is confident Dumbarton can reverse the form guide and cause a Scottish Cup shock today.
The Sons host Rangers for the second consecutive weekend, aiming to make amends for a 3-0 Championship loss seven days ago.
Murray will be without Kieran MacDonald, Chris Kane and Danny Rogers after Hamilton, St Johnstone and Aberdeen refused them permission to play, while Scott Taggart is suspended.
Hugh Murray, Andy Graham and Jordan Kirkpatrick have also been ruled out.
Boss Murray said: "The gulf between the sides in terms of quality and resources ultimately took its toll on us.
"Rangers played well, but we did manage to compete for a spell. However, in the end, it wasn't to be. We go into the game in a positive frame of mind though, albeit we have suspension, availability and injury problems.
"Cup ties have their own momentum as opposed to league matches.
"It's another big crowd, too, which is great for the players in terms of experience. We'll certainly be having a go at winning the tie."
