HAMILTON gaffer Alex Neil has urged his talented young Accies' side to keep on believing as they head to Livingston today with the maiden SPFL Championship firmly in their sights.

A half-time team talk by the astute Accies boss helped turn around a potentially damaging defeat at the hands of Dundee into a great point last weekend, giving his fledglings the shot of self-belief they need for the remainder of the four game home-run.

Galvanised by that hard-fought point, the New Douglas men will now head along the M8 to face a Livi side who have yet to score a goal against them in three previous encounters this season, with Accies winning 2-0 twice and the other encounter a scoreless stalemate.

Neil said: "Against Dundee I felt that our belief kept us in it and that is going to be a quality that is vital over the final four games. The approach we must adopt is one-game-at-a-time and our focus has been completely on Livi.

"But we have a really positive platform to build on from the Dundee game, as I felt the way we came back from a goal behind and some of the football we produced to get the point after the break, was as good as we have delivered this season.

"So that second-half against Dundee has given us the benchmark for the run-in and the boys know that they must reproduce it at Almondvale today."

Neil will be without utility man Grant Gillespie, who is suspended for the trip to the Livingston, has warned his men that John McGlynn's side will be thirsting for revenge in the final meeting between the two teams this term.

The Hamilton boss said: "Livingston will be out to prove a point against us, there can be no doubt about that.

"The fact they have yet to beat us and haven't scored against us will make them very determined today. I am sure John (McGlynn) will have used that as a motivation.

"We have put together a nine game unbeaten run and are looking like a side that has goals in it throughout the team. Today, I want the boys to go out and express themselves and if we do I can ask no more."
