LOUIS LONGRIDGE is hoping his new deal at Hamilton will help him produce his best form for Accies in their promotion push.

The New Douglas Park outfit stretched their unbeaten run to nine games last week with a hard-fought home draw with second placed Dundee.

Now Alex Neil's men head to Livingston tomorrow to get the victory that would help them stay in front of the Dens Park men going into the final three games of the run-in.

And 22-year-old Longridge, who has just penned a new two-year contract, said: "It was great to get the new deal sorted out ahead of the Dundee game and allow me just to focus on my football.

"There are a lot of pros who face an uncertain time right now with the end of the season looming and not knowing if they will be made an offer by their club.

"That can all be a bit of a distraction so it is great that all I need to worry about right now is doing my best for the team."

Accies came from behind to get a draw with the Dee last week and will head to Livi buoyed by a battling performance.

Longridge said: "In the first-half against Dundee we did not turn up and I think the importance of the game got to us.

"But the gaffer had a word at the break and we dominated the second-half and maybe deserved more than a point.

"The main thing is that it has turned us around knowing that if we win our remaining four games we will go up as champions.

"When we go through to Livi tomorrow we just have to make sure that on the day we want it the most."
