CLYDE gaffer Jim Duffy has warned his side they must keep Peterhead sharp-shooter Rory McAllister quiet if they are to book their place in the SPFL League Two play-offs.

The third-placed Bully Wee are eight points clear of fifth-placed Berwick with just 12 left to play for, although the Borders side have a markedly better goal difference.

And Duffy has warned that Highland marksman McAllister, who claimed the March SPFL Player of the Month award, must be watched closely for every minute of tomorrow's battle at Broadwood.

He said: "Rory McAllister is one of these strikers who can be having a quiet game and then suddenly score out of nothing and cost you the three points.

"He has scored 10 goals in his last seven games and for me he is very similar in what he does, comparatively speaking, to Kris Boyd.

"But although we accept that Peterhead are the best team in League Two, we believe that on our day we can match them.

"Right now we are in a place where we are almost guaranteed a play-off spot but not quite so and still have some work to do to secure it.

"There is no doubt that if we can get a win over Peterhead it would take us a huge step closer to that objective and also give us a huge lift for the last three fixtures."
